Having seen American Sniper, I must confess that it is a good action movie. For being a propaganda film it left plenty of room open for interpretation. I heard someone talking about the film last night say that around 2 million Iraqis were killed in that war as opposed to 150 Americans, of which half were killed accidentally by friendly fire. That doesn't sound like war to me; you would stand a better chance of being injured while shooting fish in a barrel. Apparently the last person Chris Kyle offended wasn't as nice about it as Jesse Ventura.

The Baby In American Sniper Was More Fake Than You Remember
This funny clip makes fun of that horrible melodrama that all the airheads are flocking to see!

Jesse Ventura Has No Regrets About Suing Chris Kyle
It sounds like this Chris Kyle guy had a big mouth. It almost even sounds like he might have been a bit of a sociopath. The jury verdict at the very least proves that Chris Kyle was a liar.

panamint_patty: My guess is that the movie version of Chris Kyle was a whole lot more likeable than the real life version of the guy. He sounds like an asshole to me and he probably provoked the confrontation that led to his death. Assholes and guns don't mix. There should be a law against assholes owning guns!

AMERICAN SNIPER Lies Debunked by Jesse Ventura :smokin:
It's not a great idea to portray a sociopath as a hero. It just goes to show how morally bankrupt this country has become when people cheer in the theater when a child is shot by a highly trained sniper.

Rudy Giuliani Commends Darren Wilson for Shooting Michael Brown :smack:
They're young and they uncritically parrot the narrative offered by big media. Sounds like the perfect recipe for success...
(I have no issue with anything Giuliani says in this editorial clip. I don't agree with all of it, but I find nothing unreasonable or objectionable in what he says, but apparently this young reporter considers what Guiliani says to be outrageous. I watched a few other videos on this channel and they all followed the same pattern: express outrage, offer no actual analysis, and conform to the agenda of big media. Like I said, the perfect recipe for brown-nosing your way to the top.)

VIDEO DELETED, but news story here:

Rick Santorum Dances Awkwardly To Song Written By Man Who Would Hate Him
Politicians need to carefully vet songs they use during their rallies. Otherwise this kind of a situation can occur, allowing a political foe to legitimately take a swipe at them. In this case I agree with the artist, but the point is that politicians can't just assume that it's cool for them to use a song without first making sure that it won't backfire on them.

Liberals Outnumber Conservatives In America. :roll2:
According to this report the number of liberals has caught up to the number of conservatives in the USA. Both account for 31% of the population each, which leaves 38% of the population unaccounted for. So, actually people who are not either liberal or conservative outnumber those who are one or the other. So, most likely moderates are the largest political group in the country.

Why Republicans Aren't Funny
I could have started a new thread this one called
The Conservative Mind (Stale Ways of Thinking),
but instead I'll just contribute to this thread.

Funny comment:
Actually Conservatives far eclipse liberals in comedy, Just watch hilarious stand up comedians such as Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck.

Boobs Not Bombs! Bare With Us Topless Rally Hits Ontario Streets
It's funny that if a teenage girl sends a topless selfie some (not all) law enforcement people will construe that as child porn, but here we have women fighting for the right to bare their breasts in public. Cultural contradictions like this are confusing. Personally I don't equate nudity with sex or pornography, but from what I can tell many people in our society lack the mental capacity to separate those categories of behavior.
It's just a boob people, get over it!
