The IRS and the United States are both private corporations.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver: Civil Forfeiture
It sounds like police are bigger crooks than criminals!

You Say Robbery, Cops Say Civil Asset Forfeiture
Two good discussions on TYT in one day. Amazing!
I read in another post today that people are more in danger of being the victim of crime at the hands of law enforcement than actual criminals. Ironic? Yeah, but we've allowed it to happen!

Cops Out Of Control

Texas Police Officer Tases 76-Year-Old Man Over Inspection Sticker
Why would there be a need to get physical over an inspection sticker?

deathvalleyjake: That cop needs a little anger management training. There's no need to throw a guy in his 70s around like that. You explain to him that he's under arrest and that if he resists arrest that he will face increased consequences. If after a few requests he still refuses you call for more officers. At some point he realizes that he has no choice, but to cooperate and there you go, job done and nobody hurt.

Get ready to be arrested for “contempt of cop”
I'm of the opinion that unnecessary rudeness should be considered a public disturbance and there's a fine line between being rude and reasonable protest. Using an obscene expression in public to criticize the police creates a negative atmosphere and could incite further negativity which could escalate into a violent confrontation. I don't see it as entirely unreasonable to arrest someone for saying "F**K the Police!" and charging them with a misdemeanor.

Man Jailed For 3 Months After Vitamin Mistaken for Drugs :curse:
This is totally unacceptable. No one should be held for 3 months without a positive identification that a substance is an illegal drug. In fact, he should have never been arrested. The most that should have been done is that the substance could have been confiscated for testing and he be allowed to go free pending the results. The guy should sue the hell out of the idiots who did this to him. The very idea of even charging someone with a crime without positive identification of a drug is absurd!

Witness in jail for 905 days, but didn't commit a crime :wtf:
How this is possible in the USA is beyond me. Hopefully he is able to successfully sue the crap out of the legal authorities responsible for his imprisonment!

U.S. Customs Is Required to Seize The Nudes Off Your Phone
Outdated regulations should be purged. Search of your phone should not be allowed without specific suspicion.
