Where Are Racist, Hateful Tweets Coming From? :wall:
Floating Sheep, a group of geography academics, created the "Geography of Hate," which maps racist, homophobic and ableist tweets in the U.S. Where are the most hateful, racist, homophobic tweets coming from? A "Geography of Hate" map can tell you...

Radio Stations Will Be Fined For Using The Word "Redskins" :wtf:
Enforcing political correctness seems the wrong way to go. How about protecting freedom of speech? The name "Redskins" isn't actually offensive when used in the context of a football team and it seems silly to refer to an actual person as a Redskin. The same goes for Vikings. Both names refer to groups of people from history and not to people in the present.

Solution Keep the name and change the mascot to a "Redskin Potato" :thumb:

I think they should just call themselves the Skins. It's a way cooler name!

I watched the video. I don't know why. The whole thing is silly. So was my post I suppose. The name is probably already registered to a street gang or someone anyway. I imagine their lawyers could work out some sort of name trade arrangement if they really wanted to. If not in real life at least in a cartoon episode on South Park.

Blackface High School Girl's Football Near Ferguson
The commentators make dozens of stupid statements throughout this poorly thought out news clip. I won't even try to list them all, but the key here is that people who get upset about blackface are complete idiots. If you're such a petty person that this even bothers you, then you (and people like you) are the problem.

The Glorious Sons - White Noise (Official Video) :eek2:
I'm fairly certain that there is no racist intent behind this song, but for the hypersensitive everything is about race!

Inequality in 85 Seconds
The argument presented in this video persuasively debunks the claim that women and minorities are underpaid for their labor and in doing so it makes a really strong argument for capitalism and economic freedom. Concise and straight forward, this video is well worth the time it takes to watch it.

Parents upset with racially-charged cartoon in lesson :roll2:
The teacher over-estimated the intelligence of the parents and the students and now has to deal with a bunch of ignorant whiners. This is why teachers become discouraged. They put in the extra work to produce a meaningful and relevant lesson and then they get criticized for it. The people in this community don't deserve such a hard working and dedicated teacher. They prefer that their children remain ignorant and mediocre just like them.
