Texans Fight Over Textbooks
This is such a dumb debate. It's amazing that this is something we have to deal with. How do idiots who support "Creation Science" even wind up in positions of power? Their opinion on a matter such as the one discussed here is totally and absolutely without value and completely irrelevant!
:smack:
However, the TYT gang does an excellent job of discussing this issue and so this clip is definitely worth watching!

CactusHugger: While I agree with the assessment of religion provided in the video you posted, I have to say that the same can be said of those who are too loud and aggressive in their denunciation of religion. I realize that when you first figure out that all religion is a fraud that you might feel some anger, but it's important to get over that and not be too confrontational or annoying about it!

Atheists Are Perverts & Molesters, Says Ted Cruz's Dad
Kind of funny how religious people fail to understand the true basis for moral reasoning and behavior. Immature people need an authority figure (along with a threat of punishment) to tell them what is right and wrong. Mature people are able to figure it out for themselves and have no need for some imaginary deity or authority figure.

Yes, but it's still important to speak up. It's important that religious people be given the opportunity to at least be exposed to higher forms of reasoning. As the narrator at the end of the emotional porn videos says:
The reality merchants, such as myself, will piss all over those nice, warm, fuzzy feelings, not out of anger, not out of intolerance, not even because I want to spoil your emotional highs, but for the sake of a better tomorrow for mankind.

Doug Stanhope: Hate Can Make You Do Really Nice Things
The corollary to this is that "Love can make you do really mean things." I guess that's what they call "tough love" or maybe it's what's going on when people have good intentions, but wind up doing bad things anyways. And then there are those self-appoint, self-righteous idiots who think they know what is in your best interests and impose their ideas of what you really want on you even though what you want is anything but what they think you want!

Man Declared Insane & Locked Up For Rejecting Religion :smack:
Who are the crazy people? Would it be this guy or the people who locked him up? It may not be quite this bad in the USA, but there are obvious parallels!

I've always thought of myself as a pantheist. I understand the similarities between my faith and atheism and even the divine need to believe in something ridiculous.

The Fool portrays innocence, ingenuity and foolishness

This is the Pure Spirit and Mind
awaiting the experience of transmutation
from unconscious to conscious perfection

The perfect man employs his mind as a mirror
it grasps nothing – it refuses nothing
it receives , but does not keep

He carries no weapons
in his right hand he grasps the staff
symbol of his ascending vitality
his left hand across his heart
the magic wand of growth supports the talisman bag

He is of the Earth
but his mind is turned heavenward
He cares not for what surrounds him
None may catch his Eye
He concentrates his focus towards union with the
Divine
Change disturbs or threatens him not

Purity of purpose is his protection.
Make Trona great again!
