This guy puts things into perspective. Why are the arguments of believers so incredibly unpersuasive to unbelievers? The shared assumptions are not there.

Reality might be harsh, but it's insane not to stay in touch! Athists believe in reality and reject fantasy and that makes many people uncomfortable.

Crazy fantasy or grim reality, which is better? That question has me stumped. The problem is that reality can account for the fantasy, but not vice versa. Smoke and mirrors or realistic perspective?

Atheists should come up with some great holiday celebration traditions of their own. Maybe something that is a parody of mainstream holiday traditions. Repurposing the symbols of another tradition worked for Christians, so it might work for atheists too. Just trying to be helpful...

NOTHING DAY. That would be the perfect atheist holiday. A day where nothingness is celebrated. We came from nothing and we will return to nothing when we die. Presents can be given to fill the void...

New study says young adults are dropping out of church, why?
Not everyone who doesn't go to church is an atheist, but many are and it's usually during young adulthood that people reach their most significant religious insights.
