texasranger: You might be surprised to learn who's actually been drinking the Kool-Aid. First of all, Russia is not ruled by the Communist Party and it is not a dictatorship. Secondly, the candidate for the Communist Party (Gennady Zyuganov) received only seventeen percent of the vote in the last presidential election in Russia. Putin belongs to the United Russia Party which subscribes to a politically moderate ideology. Not only did Putin receive sixty-four percent of the vote, but all polls showed him in the high fifties to mid-sixties, which crushes any assertions that the election was rigged. In the 2012 Russian Presidential election there were several viable candidates and so it's fair to say that Russia enjoys a more truly democratic process than do we here in the USA. I could go on and on and on, but I think at this point it's pretty clear who has actually been drinking the Kool-Aid.

Russia's Ruble tumbles
Looks like economic warfare to me. Our government manipulated oil prices soley for the purpose of reducing Russia's oil profits. They manufactured weak excuses to impose sanctions. It remains to be seen if Putin's approval rating will drop as a result of all this. It's been consistently in the 60% to 70% range while Obama's has been in the 20% range and the approval rating of Congress has been in the teens. Most likely losses will be defrayed through the imposition of large export taxes and fees and Russians will just have to be satisfied with purchasing domestic products for awhile. This will also cut into corporate profits since Russia will allow copycat products to be manufactured and that sort of thing. There are a number of strategies available to deal with this kind of situation.

Secrets Of Jewish Money Control
This explains a lot. Russia has threatened the supremacy of the US dollar. That's the real underlying issue here. That's why the USA instigated the coup in Ukraine. It's all about keeping Jewish bankers happy and making sure that no one does anything that might threaten their stranglehold on our economy.

WWIII has begun, Islam's inextricability from the state is the great danger – Nobel laureate
Conventional wars had clear battlelines. This new kind of war is much more difficult to define. They can infiltrate or activate sleeper cells at any time and it's all about ideololgy, not territories. I know it's politically incorrect to admit it, but it's true: The dark side of Islam is that it is unable to tolerate anyone who isn't one of them and any state run by people of that faith will discriminate against and possibly eradicate non-members.

World War III Kickstarter UPDATE
This is a follow up to cactuspete's and panamint_patty's posts. It's a pretty funny skit and does a good job making fun of hardcore Obama supporters. They've got to be an endangered species though since his approval rating is so incredibly low.

I saw a headline somewhere the last couple days declaring that WWIII has already begun, but that at this point it's just an economic war with the USA imposing sanctions and manipulating the price of oil. The problem is that some of the moves taken could backfire and will almost certainly devastate the economies of American allies. Somewhere else I heard something about whether or not if the economic situation got bad enough that Russia might initiate nuclear strikes. Hopefully it doesn't come to that and hopefully some terrorist group doesn't detonate a nuke in the heart of New York and the USA decide that Russia was responsible and decide to retaliate in kind. Could be a bad moon rising.

It's not likely that the USA will go after Iran anytime soon. I think our leaders are just mad about Russia blocking their plans in Syria and so they initiated the whole thing in Ukraine which backfired when Russia annexed Crimea. They tried to ratchet things up a notch with the sanctions, but the sanctions didn't really do much and so now they've manipulated oil prices. It's a dangerous game to play and it's likely that Russia will outlast the USA and its allies. I wouldn't be surprised if we wind up losing a few allies when all is said and done.

That's what they want you to think. Really Obama is intentionally screwing the whole thing up on purpose to destroy the United States. That's how much he loves us.

Putin is often portrayed as hardcore KGB, but this doesn't seem to be quite true.
