This video is saying that congress has already appropriated money to build the wall under the Bush administration that was never implemented and that it's finally going to get done. But that's not what Donald promised. What the video ignores is who is going to pay for the wall. Trump promised Mexico would pay for the wall; not the United States!

surfsteve: Just because we pay for it up front doesn't mean that Mexico can't pay us back later! :thumb:

I suppose that's true. But aren't we in debt much worse than Mexico already?

I can't help thinking: had Hillary won; Mexico would be needing a wall, just to keep Mexicans from getting back in!

Poinsettias at Christmas
Poinsettias flower during the winter and are native to southern Mexico and Central America. They first got to the USA as the result of the efforts of a guy named Joel Roberts Poinsett, who was the first Ambassador from the USA to Mexico starting in 1825. They're scientific, botanical, or latin name is 'Euphorbia pulcherrima' which means 'the most beautiful Euphorbia'.
It was only in the early 1900s that they were sold as whole plants for landscaping and pot plants. The Ecke family from Southern California were one of, if not, the first to sell them as whole plant and they're still the main producer of the plants in the USA. It is thought that they became known as Poinsettia in the mid 1830s when people found out who had first brought them to America from Mexico.

SANCTUARY CITIES: There would be no need for the wall if we could put an end to this sanctuary city bullshit. The money wasted as a result of this lack of cooperation is a crime against all taxpayers. The inefficiency is outrageous. Just follow the laws without interference and the whole problem will be taken care of without a lot of wasted money!

Immigration Policy Under Jeff Sessions
I think Sessions would make a great Attorney General. We need someone who is tough on immigration to undo the permissive attitude of the Obama administration. Other people have pointed out that we don't need a wall. All we need to do is enforce existing law and to be serious about taking care of the problem of illegal immigration.

Sheriffs pressure Congress to enforce immigration laws
Will sanctuary cities soon be a thing of the past? Let's hope so!

dzrtdwg: Like BallaratBob said, if sanctuary cities are abolished, then there would be no need for an expensive wall. The laws we have regarding immigration are adequate if we'd just enforce them. It doesn't take a genius to realize that! Personally I think we should raise the standards as to who we accept, but that's me thinking out loud (or in writing, I guess).
