The Turkish Coup

Postby surfsteve » Fri Jul 15, 2016 3:19 pm

There seems to have been a Coup attempt by the Turkish military. Turkey is a major ally to the United States and supposedly a major supplier to Isis. At this point I don't know enough to speculate anything but it just seems odd that it happened on the same day Donald Trump was supposed to announce is VP pick along with the Paris terrorist attack even though there's absolutely no evidence the events are related.

Turkey chaos a crisis for U.S., NATO
Will this impact military bases in Turkey? Will Erdogan flee the country? One commentary thinks so: "Erdogan is going to go hide in Germanystan where the cowards are welcomed."

If this guy is right the coup may not be such a bad thing. They are against Isis and claim the Turkish government was secretly supporting them. A lot of people in the US are also claiming Obama and Hilary are doing the same thing.

Turkey coup: Try to picture Donald Trump handling this well
Something to think about anyway...
Over the course of the campaign so far, Trump hasn’t even bothered to go through the motions of demonstrating that he understands that the president deals with difficult issues and needs to build competency to address a wide range of topics.

Turkish-Americans in Sacramento react to attempted coup
It doesn't sound like anyone supports Erdogan, but no one wants to see unnecessary bloodshed either.

Mr Green.
Donald Trump has demonstrated that he would have had enough sense not to go into Iraq and start a war in the first place. If he had inherited the situation he would have had enough sense not to exit it irresponsibly, leaving all the weapons behind, allowing Isis to form. If there were no Isis, then the military responsible for the coup would not have had any reason to accuse the government of secretly helping them and none of this would have ever happened. If a similar coup were to happen in the United States it could happen under Obama or Hillary but not under Donald Trump because the military loves him and overwhelmingly supports him. He supports the military and has vowed to make them strong and great again. Under Trump Bengazi would not have happened because he would have listened to them and not have ignored the embassy's 100's of cries for help asking for reinforcements and proper security that were denied. But even if it had happened Mr.Trump would have responded rapidly with help instead of sitting around for three hours debating policy, so afraid of offending the Libyan government that they were arguing whether or not the military should be wearing uniforms over a rescue attempt that never took place.

Turkey coup: Conspiracy theorists claim attempt was faked by Erdogan

Social media users claim Erdogan will use the attempted coup in the same way Hitler used the Reichstag Fire to suppress all opposition

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world ... 40516.html

I have no opinion as of yet but I have to admit, it would be a good way to expose and get rid of the opposition but until or unless someone comes forward it's all just wild speculation.

No doubt some of the conspiracy theories will be off the wall. Unless you are conspiracy ignorant though you must believe that there is a possibility that the coup might have been faked. Even the former director of the CIA has stated it might have been though he says the chances are well under 50/50

Here are a couple of theories suggesting the coup may have been a false flag. See if they make sense to you.
