A spy talk on GPS: wigs, poisoning & tensions with Russia
The people in this clip attribute a resurgence of Cold War tensions to Russia, but it's pretty obvious that the media in the USA has been exaggerating such tensions for quite some time. Recall the exaggerations about the anti-Putin protests and the bogus Pussy Riot news stories. Those who control the media see Russia as a threat and so they push stories that put Russia in a bad light whenever possible.

Russian President Putin Announces Divorce
He's 60 and the rumor is that he's interested in a woman who is about 30. Putin for the score! (I know... I know... I'm supposed to insist that it's sad that he's divorcing a woman he's been married to for 30 years, but seriously, who can blame the guy for wanting to get it on with a younger woman?)

Putin: I could kill someone with ring :roll2:
Sounds like this Kraft fella is full of crap! Nobody outside the USA gives a turd about the superbowl and half of us here in the USA ignore it anyways. This Kraft fella is full of himself. The idea that a world leader would steal a silly ring is preposterous and anybody who takes a story like this seriously lacks the basic ability to distinguish reality from fantasy!

Putin: Snowden is a free man, can go anywhere he wants
No doubt about it: Putin is the man! While we here in the USA steadily lose our freedoms, people in Russian keep gaining freedoms. It's amazing how things have switched around over the last few decades. Go Putin! Go Russia!

Asylum? Edward Snowden's Letters from Russia
Hopefully Russia does the right thing and grants asylum. It's funny that there's a better chance that Russia will do more to protect human rights in this case than will the USA. Here's a rather interesting quote from Snowden:
I believe in the principle declared at Nuremberg in 1945: "Individuals have international duties which transcend the national obligations of obedience. Therefore individual citizens have the duty to violate domestic laws to prevent crimes against peace and humanity from occurring."

Lady Gaga vs. Russia?
I'm pretty sure that Russia will win this contest!!! Lady Gaga should probably STFU and act with respect when visiting Russia. Why do Americans always act like they can tell other people in other countries what to do? Militant self-righteousness? Maybe that's why we've invaded so many foreign countries for no good reason whatsoever!

West's warped vision of Russian gay life leads to 'crackdown' cries & vodka waste :upset:
As usual the news media here in the USA has distorted things! It would seem that this law against "distributing gay propaganda to minors" probably isn't all that different from our law against "propositioning a minor" here in the USA. Whereas the Russian law is fairly specific, our law is poorly defined so that it can be conveniently over-generalized by law enforcement officials.

Winter Olympic outrage over gay rights
Here we go again! Meddling in the affairs of other countries. And the hypocrisy is so obvious! People are prosecuted all the time for talking to underage children about sex here in the USA. The Russian law is not about gay rights. It's about talking to kids about homosexual behavior. If a child here in the USA asks an adult they trust about an issue regarding homosexuality and that adult actually answers the question there is a very good chance that the adult will wind up in legal trouble (especially if the question is answered in an honest and thoughtful manner). While we don't have a law which explicitly forbids this kind of discussion, we do have laws which are very flexible when it comes to this kind of situation and a conservative prosecutor is quite likely to file charges and conservative judges and juries are quite likely to rule the defendant guilty. That's how it works here in the USA!!!
