Crazy Russian Winter: What happens to boiling water at -41C? :eek2:
This is a neat little demonstration that provides a little perspective of what the weather is like in Novosibirsk in the middle of the winter. Novosibirsk, BTW, is the third largest city in Russia and it's located in the southwestern part of Siberia next to the Ob River.

Russia adoption ban retaliation for U.S. law

Sounds a little farfetched to assume that this issue has anything to do with any kind of retaliation! Anyone who pays attention to the news realizes that this is in response to some problems involving abuse of Russian children adopted by parents here in the USA!

See if you can figure out what they're talking about. I know the video kind of gives it all away, but you might try closing your eyes if you want a challenge!

Russia should have never allowed Americans to adopt Russian children to begin with! They're much better off in Russia! The people in this video sound like they were planning to eat the kid they're talking about or something!
:smack:

That reminds me of a movie called "Burning Palms" where a gay couple illegally adopt a black child and name her Mahogany. After they discover adoption is not for them they abandon her and get a dog.

It is actually the third of 5 short stories in the link. Watch it if you dare. The entire movie is pretty messed up! It's rated R

Brand On The Run: Pussy Riot trademark tug of war
Apparently the creators of South Park consider Pussy Riot one of those pointless causes that people get excited about without actually understanding. It made a good punch line to their most recent show anyways!

Russian Supreme Court: ISPs Need To Proactively Block 'Illegal Content'
This is what corporations here in the USA would like to see, but so far our courts have kept us safe from this kind of abuse!
Basic common sense would suggest that there's a world of difference between merely being the conduit to information and actually putting forth that information yourself. In the US, this is why we have various safe harbors, to avoid ridiculous situations where the platform/service provider is blamed for the actions of users. But, apparently, the Russian Supreme Court has no concept of secondary liability and has squashed it all down into primary liability. If you're a Russian service provider, you should be afraid. Very afraid.
