Putin on Sochi: I would very much like sports not to be marred by politics
Lots of international attention focused on Russia as the Winter Olympics approach. Russia has spared no expense to make sure that the winter games are a success.

Good idea! This topic is a little too big. Breaking it up into smaller chunks makes sense!

Huge Hole Appears In Siberia, Opening Up A Mystery And Multiple Theories
Huge hole located on the Yamal Peninsula is believed to be what is called a pingo.
A pingo, also called a hydrolaccolith, is a mound of earth-covered ice found in the Arctic and subarctic that can reach up to 70 metres (230 ft) in height and up to 600 m (2,000 ft) in diameter. The term originated as the Inuvialuktun word for a small hill. A pingo is a periglacial landform, which is defined as a nonglacial landform or process linked to colder climates. source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pingo

Two More Giant Mystery Holes Found In Siberia
If this is the result of global warming, then it would be reasonable to suggest that there might be dozens of things appearing over the next few years. So, for now the hole count appears to be three. We'll have to wait to see how rapidly the count increases, if it does at all.

Spying virus infects smartphones, mimics regular software update
Here's the real story. Smartphones were designed to make it easy for the government and for corporations to spy on individual users. Blaming the situation on Russian hackers is just more propaganda intended to do two things:
1) Portray Russia in a negative manner
2) Gain support for internet security measures that will give corporations and government even more control

Russians mock Obama with laser show on U.S. Embassy
It looks like Russians hate Obama almost as much as Americans hate Obama! We have more in common than we thought! The second part of the video is highly inaccurate, but the info comes from CNN, so what do you expect?!!

I'm so glad I wasn't taking a sip of coffee when I read that.I still can't stop laughing. Did you actually mean what you said? OMG! I just realized that the reverse is also true. Americans like Putin almost as much as the Russians! Perhaps Obama's citizenship issue has opened the doors for him to become president of USA as his next job. But who would he run with? Putin/Schwarzenegger? Hope nobody was drinking coffee!
