ARROWHEADS: I've found a few and I keep them. I don't know anyone who doesn't keep them. I'm sure some people say they don't, but I'm sure that even those people actually keep them. I'd feel bad if I left one behind, but I feel a sense of accomplishment when I find one. I think eveyone does and despite what the law says, I think sometimes the law is made by well-meaning people who are completely out to lunch!

ARROWHEADS: ME TOO! I've found some and I still have them. It feels like too much of a miracle to just throw them away. It's like someone reaching out from the distant past and shaking your hand. It would almost be rude not to accept the gift!

sandman: Don't confuse dumb luck with some kind of spiritual connection to the past. I won't argue against keeping an arrowhead as a keepsake if you happen to find it while hiking or something, but if you're systematically looking for artifacts then that's definitely something that's not okay unless it's on private property and you are the owner of the land or you have the owner's permission.

PCT // Forester Pass to Bishop // Episode 17
Oh, to be young again. This is something that would be good to do, but it would take a lot of determination to complete the PCT.

Here's a fun little advert I saw while hiking on a section of the PCT today. I saw not another person, but I did see a few cows!

Hiker taxi ads posted on trees are pretty common along the trail at major resupply spots along the PCT. Kennedy Meadows is one of the most famous such spots. I've seen similar ads for Grumpy Bears and further north I've seen a bunch in the Bishop/Mammoth area and up near Tahoe. The 420 reference is kind of funny. Only a minority of hikers are into that stuff, but there are those who partake of the herb!

Return To Hooker Meadow
It looks like the host of this website went on a snowy hike to celebrate Thanksgiving Day or at least he posted this short video on his @wildweeds YouTube channel on T-day.

panamint_patty: I wonder how long before the first snow of the season. Will it be in October or November? I've heard that this might be another heavy snow year, but I've also heard there might be less snow and more rain.
