Adorable Kids 'Nae Nae' Instead of Playing Football
This is very cute and it's nice to see kids having fun instead of being all serious about a silly sport.

Coaches of players who tackled referee disciplined
Unsportsmanlike activity on the field can get you into legal trouble. This situation has turned into a protracted legal case, which underscores why it's best not to take a silly game too seriously.

Michigan Football Fans Outraged by Punter's Mistake
Bottom Line: IT'S ONLY A GAME!!! :roll2:
Also I'd much rather be the punter who fucked up than the guy who ran the ball in for the TD who got fucked up when his teammates piled on him and broke his hip!

High School Football Player Dies From Head Injuries
Seven high school football players have died as a result of an injury sustained during a game this year alone. In the past the death rate has been as high as 150 over a period of ten years. Hiring athletic trainers would be an expensive way to try to deal with the problem. It would be a whole lot less expensive to just do away with football altogether. Just sayin'

Most parents know that it's not a good idea to allow their sons to play high school football, but they give into the social pressure to allow their kid to play. Not only are they afraid that their sons might resent them if they forbid participation, but they also like the prestige of having a son on the football team. If parents were willing to actually be parents, there would be no high school footabll.

18-Year-Old High School Football Player Collapses
The media is really focusing on high school football injuries this year. This news clip also contains information about a helmet containing impact sensors made by a company called Riddell. Something tells me that there's money to be made and that the helmet company is getting a little free publicity here.

wildrose: Although the commentary provided could be seen as being critical of Riddell, overall it will be good for business. Football helmets with sensors have got to be expensive and public awareness of the product will be increased and more high tech helmets will be sold. They almost certainly are ridiculously expensive. One has to wonder whether there is a corporate connection between the news outlet and the company selling the helmets.

If as ergot points out, the death rate was at fifteen high school football players per year for a period of ten years and now in this current year only seven players have died, then it seems like a huge improvement has been made. Yet the media is hyping the seven deaths which have occurred this year as if it's a major crisis. Sounds like someone has something to sell and wants a law passed to force schools to purchase their equipment. Not to be skeptical or cynacal, but I smell some serioius BS here!

Trona Wins Playoff Game
According to MaxPreps (another one of those websites with more popup ads than a porn site) Trona beat the Cornerstone Christian Crusaders with a score of 60-8 last night to advance to the next round of playoffs. As a result they will play Desert Christian Academy next Friday at Bermuda Dunes. Hopefully Bermuda Dunes is nothing like the Bermuda Triangle.
