There's No Such Thing As Free Water
A few interesting links provided as part of this article about one of our most precious commodities!
Studies have shown that, in blind taste tests, people can't really tell the difference between tap and bottled water. (Wine drinkers have also failed similar kinds of taste tests over inexpensive versus expensive wines.)

If California were to split into three separate states as some are proposing; what would happen to Owens Valley? Would it be in the same state as Los Angeles? Seems like it would have to. I was just wondering... Does anybody know for sure?

The proposal to split leads me to believe nobody who supports it never thought about it. Not only Owens Valley but all water sources that are moved elsewhere to supply water lacking areas. Utilities will need to be looked at also. The taxing of power leaving one state to another would be something to consider. Taxing produce and other agricultural products is a possibility crossing state lines. Let me rephrase that to keep up with the times, call it a tariff.
