MAKEUP TUTORIAL: That seemed a little much for school if you ask me. Especially the lashes. Of course around here it doesn't matter because I've never heard of a school having a rule against girls wearing makeup except for maybe some of the private religious schools.

Summer Book List from Bill Gates :thumb2:
Summer vacation is when inquisitive minds learn the most!
(And that's coming from a retired public schools teacher.)

Police Say Lego Thefts on the Rise
Usually thought of as toys with educational value, apparently Lego sets are popular items on the black market. This news clip even talks about toy theft rings which target Lego sets, some of which can sell for up to $500 per box. Most people probably realize that Legos are no longer just blocks which snap together, but are actually more like programmable robotics kits, which accounts for the high price. That's also where the educational value comes in, but most schools don't use them because there are way too many small parts to keep track of and kids tend to pocket them.

Software Is Eating The Job Market
I've heard that Burroughs has a pretty good program to prepare students for jobs in technology-related fields, but all indications are that the high school here in Trona is doing next to nothing.
Although most of these positions exist at the experienced level, it is no surprise that computer science and engineering are among the top three most-demanded college majors in this spring’s undergraduate employer recruiting season, according to the National Association of Colleges and Employers.
