The number of people in favor of KEEPING the monuments is more than double the number who want them removed.

Basically, Barkley says that there are better things to worry about. Some of those things include: 1) Getting a good education, 2) Stop killing each other, 3) Develop economic opportunities. In other words, Barkley says, don't waste time on things that are insignificant, such as statues.

Are we in danger of erasing history across the country?
I'm against removing historic statues. I think the comparison to book burning is valid.

Confederate monuments that still exist in the US
It almost seems like the only reason CNN posted this video is to remind the public that there are more monuments to remove. That way they will be able to guarantee more protests, counter-protests, and any violence that goes with them. This political correctness on steroids has gone way too far. People in support of keeping these monuments need to stand their ground and maybe even do something to gain a little ground in this battle against political correctness on steroids!

Why monuments matter
We don't shut down mosques when Muslims commit crimes, so why take down Confederate memorials after the recent altercations in the southeast?
