dilbert: There is no shortage of crappy parents, which explains a lot, but parents who try to follow the rules of good parenting usually do worse than if they just tried to be reasonable and conscientious people. Sometimes in life there are no shortcuts and if you get into something you're not prepared for you often fail miserably. Unfortunately, most people aren't good at preparing for things. They lack the intelligence and foresight to think ahead.

shadylady: You wrote that some people lack the intelligence and foresight to think ahead and I'd just like to say that that is precisely the reason why bad parents become parents in the first place. Not to be judgemental, but it doesn't take a genius to know how babies are made, but an awful lot of babies are born to people who didn't actually intend on having one.

wildrose: Nice post! That post was just about perfect and it sums up a lot of the problems with young people today. I've encountered so many kids who have almost no skills and yet expect to be treated as competent adults. Kids graduating from high school now know almost nothing and they can barely write a coherent sentence. It's hard to blame teachers or the school system when there are so many parents who allow their children get away with just about anything and indulge their children without requiring anything.

Laci Green: YouTube Sex Ed Star :roll2:
For a decidedly biased SJW viewpoint on matters related to sex go to Lacy Green. Like it or not, she's influential and very critical of Trump. I thought that the best thing about Trump was his ability to say things that triggered SJW types and Lacy has definitely been triggered by the Trump Revolution!

Meet the next secretary of education
Do away with the positive spin and you'll discover that her real agenda is to privatize education. The privatization of prisons was a disaster. Privatizing schools would be much worse. The lady is married to a billionaire. She has no clue what would be good for children. All she knows is how to make the rich richer at the expense of the poor and middle class.
