Education Department scraps Obama-era campus sexual assault rules
This was a smart move. Due process and fairness are both important cornerstones of the law.

Gender-neutral teacher transferred out of classroom
Teacher's should not discuss their sexuality or non-traditional gender role orientation with children. I don't care what teachers do in their private lives, but should keep that kind of controversial stuff out of the classroom.

tronagirl: Young kids should not be exposed to extremist behavior or beliefs while at school. If their parents want to promote that kind of thing, then that's their parental right, but the school should not promote anything non-traditional or out of step with mainstream society. In high school there is some room for discussion and debate concerning controversial topics, but young kids should not have to deal with that sort of thing. There are plenty of better things for them to do such as actually learning useful skills!

Regarding the replacement board member situation. Everything I've heard completely concurs with what tronagirl, wildrose, and sandman have said on the topic. It's most unfortunate when elected officials fail to honor their oath of office and do favors for friends rather than look out for the good of the entire community.

Rename Columbus Day?
Put aside all the politically correct bullshit and there is no escaping the fact that the arrival of Columbus in the Americas was an important step which led to the creation of the USA. The Vikings may have been the first Europeans to reach North America, but the arrival of Columbus began a sequence of events which changed the world. There's no need to consider him a hero or to demonize him either, just acknowledge the historical significance of what he did.

Student asked to change Black Lives Matter shirt
If the student is too stupid to realize that Black Lives Matter is a terrorist organization, then maybe it's best that she attend a different school. As for the students wearing the anti-Hillary t-shirts, more power to them!!! (But in all seriousness, negative political messages can be disruptive and so students should not be allowed to wear shirts showing support for terrorist organizations or suggesting that the Hildawg be arrested and put away in prison for the rest of her life, although that's exactly what she deserves!)

CrustyOldFart: More than a few students have been forced to change out of their Hillary For Prison shirts all across the nation, particularly in the months leading up to the presidential election last year. What's good for one political bias, should apply to all others. Fairness requires consistency and favoring one group over another is the epitome of unfair. So the Black Lives Matters people ought to quit complaining when they get called on their bullshit!

desertrat: Hell yeah, but I'd actually give the kids wearing Hillary For Prison shirts extra credit while I'd without hesitation severely discipline kids wearing shirts supporting terrorist groups such as Black Lives Matter or ISIS. Freedom of expression has its limits and anyone supporting a known terrorist group should face some real and painful consequences.

If a student can wear a Black Lives Matter teeshirt to school, then any kid who wants to wear a Confederate flag shirt to school damn well better be allowed to do so! Either all political speech should be tolerated or no political speech should be tolerated. It's not fair to favor one special interest group over another.

Jordan Peterson - The Theory of Multiple Intelligences Is Rubbish!
He's right, the educational establishment is very susceptible to various fads. You'd expect more from educational institutions, but often their leaders are extremely gullible and fall for any politically correct idea that comes their way.
