Approved genetically-modified apples, potatoes confuse buyers
I wouldn't use Roundup, but I would eat an Artic apple. There's a big difference between the two products and so I guess my point is that you can't lump all this stuff together. Some of it is bad and some of it is good and just concluding that every genetic modification is automatically bad seems kind of ignorant to me.

Why Are Some People Obese And Others Starving Around The World?
I agree with about half of what this guy has to say and I disagree with the other half. It's annoying when good information gets mixed with bad information and when the two come together in roughly equal proportions, it can be a challenge to distinguish between the true facts and the BS. Nonetheless, this is an intersting topic and so I decided to post the video.

Monsanto Playing God
I'm not entirely against genetic modification of plants (or animals), but the business practices of Monsanto do cause me to feel concerned.

Neil Young Gives $100K to Vermont's GMO Lawsuit
Although I could have posted this to the Dinosaurs of Rock n Roll thread, there was a lot of good talk about the importance of allowing consumers to know if they're purchasing GMOs or not and so here it is!

Is Putin Right to Call Monsanto a Terrorist Organization and Ban GMOs?
Scanning through the comments left to the Neil Young video I came across this little nugget of info:
A new bill introduced to the Russian parliament would treat producers of biotech crops from companies such as Monsanto (NYSE: MON ) , The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW ) , and Syngenta (NYSE: SYT ) as criminals -- with fines comparable to terrorism. As co-author of the bill Kirill Cherkasov told RT: "When a terrorist act is committed, only several people are usually hurt. But GMOs may hurt dozens and hundreds. The consequences are much worse. And punishment should be proportionate to the crime."

Food images on social media can trigger anxiety
This is interesting. People who are obsessed with healthy eating are annoying. Everything in moderation.

The one thing every refrigerator owner should know
Why do they put the egg racks on the door if that's not the right place to store eggs?

Why Americans Don’t Eat Enough Vegetables
I'm guilty as charged. It probably takes me a week to eat as much as I should in a single day!
