With all the rain we've gotten in the last couple months I hope that we'll be seeing an abundance of wildflowers. It seems like things should start blooming pretty soon, come to think of it!

twister: I feel pretty confident that the bloom will be pretty good this year. Young plants are popping up all over the place. I expect to see plenty of flowers beginning in two or three weeks and continuing through the end of April at the lower elevations. Already you can see brown-eyed evening primrose flowers all around town.

More and more flowers are starting to show up in the desert and in yards around the area. It may not be a spectacular year, but it's looking like it will at least be a good year. Enjoy the flowers while they last, cuz they won't last long!

panamint_patty: It's getting close to peak. Hopefully the weather stays nice and it doesn't get too windy. The wind can do a lot of damage!

Twister: Very cool post! Looks like a lot of interesting flowers in that area and the idea of some blooming that haven't been seen in years is quite intriguing!

Flowers Continuing To Bloom Beautifully In Complete Defiance Of Government Lockdown :bigger:
It's my understanding that leaders in San Bernardino County are devising ways of punishing flowers and trees for their lack of concern during this lockdown period! The trick of making masks unavailable and then threatening people with fines for not wearing them was pretty good, but now they want to take things to another level.
It has been reported by several dirt-embedded journalists that flowers are continuing to bloom in a bright array of dazzling colors in spite of state governors' clear instructions to shut everything down. In addition, trees are sprouting leaves without any concern for clear state directives.
