Committee Regarding American Propaganda
This is an interesting project that appeals to rugged individualists and environmentalists equally.

Where is Luthorville?
According to the map on this page, it's southeast of Barstow.

MojaveMike: Rugged individualists and environmentalists and survivalist nutjobs too! All sorts of people like the idea of a self-sufficient desert hideaway! At least until the novelty wears off and then when you realize that even shopping becomes a major hassle, that's about when most people just say to hell with it! That's not to mention building costs and other inconveniences!

What Countries Are The Most Energy Efficient?
No surprise that the USA is not at the top of the list...

It might be kind of lonely living in the middle of nowhere, but the idea of being self-sufficient for the most part is almost intoxicating. If I had the money I might build a remote getaway cabin for long weekends away from the rat race. That's if I had the money!!!

Culvert Cistern Install - catching rain off the Shop!
Interesting rainwater system. Probably wouldn't be worth installing in the Trona area. Not enough rain to justify such a large cistern.

If you're going to go off the grid, you might as well go all the way!

cactuspete: Information like that could be used by a group of survivalists to build the ultimate doomsday bunker. Of course, most of them will never get to test out their bunkers under real doomsday conditions, but that's almost certainly for the best since it's not likely they'd live long under those conditions anyways.

cactuspete: I'd want to bury the containers in order to take advantage of the natural insulation of being underground. I'd still have some above the ground and then I'd have solar panels and all that other stuff too. These container homes would be really nice and would work great in remote locations.
