High School Kids Staring Down Child Porn Charges In Sexting Scandal
Authorities are actually considering the possibility of charging three freshman boys with distribution of child pornography for passing around suggestive pictures of a freshman girl (which she may have taken herself). If convicted the boys face long prison sentences plus being registered sex offenders. Laws against child pornography are supposed to protect children, not victimize children. These are kids just goofing around. This is completely normal behavior for kids. On top of that a picture is just a picture and to pretend that it's a big deal is something a completely insane person would do. Kids nowadays are more likely to be victimized by law enforcement than by actual criminals.
Good to know that all the REAL crimes have been solved. Yep. Gurnee is blissfully free of murder, rape, arson, assault -- even all the old cold cases have been successfully solved. So now the police force has the spare time to bully children, destroy lives, and spend taxpayer money "solving" problems that could easily have been addressed without their involvement. Way to go, pigs.

Cop Who Obtained Warrant To Take Photo Of Teen's Erect Penis For Sexting Case Sues Teen's Lawyer For Defamation :smack:
Sometimes you just gotta wonder how such blatantly STUPID people wind up in positions of authority. It's almost as if they intentionally select total IMBECILES to perform jobs that can potentially have a huge impact on the lives of others!
The department, however, still backs the decision to create child porn in order to charge someone else with child porn creation and distribution. A close look at its statement indicates that there's a bit of post-debacle blame-shifting going on, leaving the attorney's office holding the "teen penis photo" bag.

"I Saw Your Willy" PSA Warns British Kids About Sexting
The PSA featured in this TYT clip is pretty funny. In fact, it's a pretty SILLY discussion about a WILLY. The two main TYT people, though, take it a little too seriously and make a number of false statements. Most glaringly they claim that boys and girls who engage in sexting are usually bullied. This is obviously not true. The vast majority of sexting images (like 99% of them) never get shared in the manner described by TYT. Of those that do get shared, very few of the kids featured in them would actually be bullied. They might be lightly teased or they might even be somewhat admired, but bullied, not so much. It's very rare for a person who engages in sexting to experience any negative reprecussions. Of course, there are a few exceptional cases that we've all heard about where negative reprecussions are experienced, but such are rare exceptions. What's the chances of an individual winning the lottery? The same chances apply to negative reprecussions of sexting. It happens, but don't hold your breath. Just keep in mind that when you share a questionable picture (or post a questionable tweet) that it could potentially be used against you, but keep a realistic perspective on things and don't over estimate the probability a bad outcome.

Florida Legalizes Teen Sexting By Trying To Outlaw Teen Sexting
This short article is definitely worth reading. Also many of the comments left in reaction to the article are also quite good. My take on this is that a picture is only a picture no matter what it is of and that it makes absolutely no sense to have laws against pictures. It's that simple.
When laws intersect with human sexuality, they usually do so badly. Teens are sexting -- something many people believe is normal, but many, many more people believe is somehow wrong. This sort of behavior has existed since the introduction of the Polaroid camera, but with nearly every teen in possession of both a camera and a transmission device, the trading of sexually explicit photos has increased exponentially.

Have You Ever Heard Of These Sexting Terms?
Anna makes fun of CNN for not knowing these acronyms and then admits that she doesn't know one of them!

Sexting Scandal Rocks NJ High School :smack:
It would be nice if cops spent their time dealing with real crimes rather than something as trivial as this. Trading nude pictures shouldn't even be a crime and if it involves kids fifteen and over then it's even more ridiculous for law enforcement to intrude into the private affairs of those involved!

Some guy that lives near a friend is in jail now for trying to kill a neighbor who he believed killed his dog. He concluded that the neighbor killed his dog because the neighbor had complained to the the police about the dog barking loudly all the time. Of course the police said that they were too busy to deal with "trivial" things like a barking dog. And yet somehow they seem to have plenty of time for these sexting investigations! My guess is that they just like looking at naked teenagers. My point is that if they wasted less time on this sexting BS and actually did their jobs and took care of irresponsible dog owners, then there would be fewer real problems. Instead they like to waste time dealing with unimportant things like sexting teenagers. Amazing!

texasranger: I think you're right. Law enforcement is just looking for an excuse for looking at naked teenagers and for getting out of doing real work!

6 Mass. Teens Face Child Pornography Charges in Alleged Sexting Incident
The problem here is that the entire issue is overblown. Rather than exaggerate the problem by overreacting, authorities should take it down a few notches. These are just pictures. To make a big deal over pictures is so ridiculous that it's hard to put into words just how insane and absurd this entire issue has become!

Pop Star Takes Dick Pic On Stage With Fan’s Camera :dizzy:
This is all just good fun as far as I'm concerned. It's pretty much just a joke and it shows that Enrique Iglesias has a good sense of humor. No problem here, unless you're one of those people who thing dick pix are a big deal in which case you should probably go read ALL the posts in the Moral Panic thread!
