“Nutscaping" Is The Latest Selfie Trend
It's like a new form of art. A deeper level of self-expression. A new way to connect with nature.

Sexting Scandal Envelops Colorado High School :mad2:
Sometimes I doubt the sanity of people in this society.
What's the big FUCKING deal? We're talking about images!!!

Emergency meetings over images? Seriously? Get your heads out of each others' asses and come out for fresh air every once in a while!

'Ghost app' used by students in sexting investigation
I see ghost apps as a good thing. They protect privacy. Teens should be encouraged to learn how to protect their privacy. Instead this half-assed news clip takes the opposite approach. Thumbs down on this one!

Some Teens May be Facing Possible Felony Charges After Sexting Scandal :wtf:
More on the moral panic (yeah I know that's another thread) over sexting. When kids are being charged with felonies just because of something as trivial as trading nude pics, then you know that the idiots in charge are completely insane. It's not the kids who should be facing charges, it is the intellectually incompetent authorities who are hassling them that should be thrown into jail.

SEXTING MORAL PANIC: mrgreen your assessment of the situation is quite accurate. There's something really anti-American about busting people for images. It violates the concept of Freedom of Speech and although I've heard the arguments on this topic, none of them amount to a hill of beans. It's not acceptable to charge people (especially kids) with felonies for this type of a thing. We as citizens should not put up with this kind of foolishness and we should make our dissatisfaction with this sorry state of affairs known. We're not going to take this bullshit anymore!

Civil disobedience may be the only way to protest in a way that will get attention of fascist law makers who want to dictate their narrow and feeble minded notions of morality on the rest of us. Maybe, just maybe, a day where everyone posts nude pictures of themselves would get their attention. They may be arresting 100 kids in Colorado, but what would they do if it were one million kids across the nation? At that point people would wake up and realize that the emporer has no clothes on and demand change!

Sexting Scandal Highlights Challenges for Schools
This news clip takes it down a notch or two and actually questions the rationality of charging teens with serious crimes based on their sexting activities. I don't think that's really enough, but at least it's not the complete lunacy which seems to have possessed the law enforcement community. Moral panic is a fair characterization of the way that the legal system is reacting to rather normal and benign teenage behavior. Making a big deal over something so insignificant is not setting a good example for the younger generation.

MILLION SEXT SIEGE? There's got to be a catchy name for an event like this, but I think you make a good point. Authorities seem to be slow to get the message that the general public thinks it's ridiculous and disproportionate to charge kids at all for this sort of thing. In fact, law enforcement should stay completely out of this sort of thing. Images aren't a big enough deal to justify any kind of involvement of law enforcement. Period.

'Hundreds' Of Teens Found Sexting At A Single School And Everyone Seems Unsure Of How To Proceed
from the how-about-'toss-it-back-to-the-parents-and-let-them-handle-it?' dept
The subtitle says it all. The message to law enforcement is clear: This is a matter which is NOYB. All law enforcement can do is turn a mildly annoying situation into a complete and utter disaster.
Superintendent of Canon City High School, George Welsh estimates that half the school is involved. That's about 500 students based on the initial stages of the investigation. Some eighth graders may also be involved.

I bet virtually the entire student body masturbates. Are they going to be charged with molesting themselves too?

They say there's no shortage when it comes to HUMAN STUPIDITY, but law enforcement acts like it's some kind of competition and tries to outdo everyone else.
