Top 5 reasons to upgrade to Windows 10
The upgrade will be free to Windows 7 and Windows 8 users for one year. It looks like an upgrade worth making... at least so far!

Windows 7 and 8 sucked so bad that it would be next to impossible for Windows 10 not to be an improvement and so taking advantage of the free upgrade offer might not be a bad idea. Then again, people can take advantage of the opportunity for a free upgrade to any flavor of Linux anytime they want to. It's been that way since the 1990s and it's still the way to go if you're serious about technology.

How to upgrade to Windows 10 right now
I'm waiting a month or two before upgrading. There's always a glitch when a new version of an OS is released and so I'm going to wait for them to work those out before doing the upgrade.

I got Windows 10 successfully installed. It took a little while to download, but the process went smoothly for me. I like it better than Windows 8 and although it's not really all that incredibly different, it's just a more pleasant environment to work with.

Senior Russian lawmaker seeks ban on Windows 10 in state agencies
Any foreign country that is not a close ally of the USA would be foolish to use Windows on any of its government or military computers. There are too many ways for info to be sent back to the USA and everyone knows how easy it is to hack Windows computers. I've heard of a few governments who banned the use of Windows on gov/military computers long ago. I'm surprised that Russia didn't do so already.
The State Duma’s vice speaker has asked the Russian government to ban the use of the Windows 10 OS among Russian civil servants over fears the American software may give access to classified information and Russian officials’ personal data.

Windows 10 Reserves The Right To Block Pirated Games And 'Unauthorized' Hardware
All the more reason to stop using Windows...
While Windows 8 annoyed many users for its attempt to duct-tape two disparate computing styles (traditional Windows and a touch interface) together while demanding you stand impressed by the genius of such a move, Windows 10 initially appeared to be seeing some positive responses (at least among those who use Windows). That was, at least until people started to realize how nosy the operating system is, how frequently it feels the need to phone home to Redmond, and some of the more obnoxious language buried in the terms of service.
