Here's a startling factoid mentioned in this video: Australian aborigines have an average IQ in the low 60s, and Pygmies are even lower.

I can understand the Abo and Pygmy IQ thing. Over the course of evolution and their environment that's all they needed. I'm sure as their world collapses they will rapidly catch-up. You can witness that easily with the Abo's living and working in the city's now.

It's not so much that they'll catch up. It's more a matter of the majority of them being unsuccessful since they lack the ability to survive in a complex society. The top ten percent of these populations may have IQs in the normal range and they'll do alright. Meanwhile, the rest of the population will struggle. If social welfare allows the majority of Aborigines and Pygmies to reproduce, then a large population of unproductive individuals will persist and that will cause longterm social issues in their host countries.

ergot: That's exactly what social welfare has done in the USA. The reason so many Blacks commit crimes is because they have very low IQs. It's not racism that holds Blacks back, it's genetics. There are some Blacks with averge or slightly above average IQs, but the vast majority have very low IQs and that limits their potential for any kind of advancement in society. The facts back this assessment up. There are those who still believe in phantom racism, but there are no facts to back up that fantasy.

Ectogenesis and artificial wombs are interesting topics and many potentially useful technologies may develop. Women won't have to carry babies in their bellies for nine months. It will be easier to monitor the health of fetuses. The goods far outweigh the potential downfalls!
