Man tells police he killed neighbor
It's an odd story involving mold, murder, and mental instability... :ack:
After several hours of consuming alcohol, Helfrich said the neighbor then proceeded to tell him there was a “hit” out on Helfrich’s life, and that he planned to kill him for money. The neighbor then allegedly picked up his hunting knife and began chasing Helfrich around his trailer with it, as Helfrich said he tried twice to subdue the man. After failing to stop him, Helfrich said he picked up a metal baseball bat and hit his neighbor in the side of the head. The man subsequently fell to the ground, at which time Helfrich said he and his girlfriend, Silvia Castillo, took the body about seven miles east of the trailer where the crime occurred to Basin Avenue and Wheeler Pass Road.

That guy is weird. His story almost sounds believable but after seeing that video, if it is indeed the same guy, I'd have to say he probably made the whole story up. There are stories in the comments taking this guy seriously and suggesting the cops wanted him dead on account of a black mold lawsuit he had going while being in prison that sounds fishy. Actually the story sounds absurd and the lawsuit it's self sounds fishy. I always thought that black mold stuff was way over blown and just some way for contractors and insurance companies to make money. Oh Yeah. And lawyers too!

After reading this article I feel reassured the black mold issue has been over blown and hyped by the media.

There are a lot of interesting comments left following the article in the Pahrump news article. A lot have a lot to say about mold and pending litigation. There seems to be quite a back story behind the murder and then those YouTube videos are pretty strange. The guy seems a little off-his-rocker, but it's hard to say if he was already that way before being incarcerated or if it was his experiences while incarcerated that made him that way.
Peter states on his facebook that he was being harassed by officers in retaliation for his litigation against the state after the mold sickness was disabling to him. So much so that part of the reactions many people have is MCS or Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and there are dozens of mold victims moving to the open free fresh air to get away from any chemicals because they’re so irritating.
