shadylady: All the amendments are of more or less equal importance as far as I'm concerned, but what irks me is that every time there's a shooting the Second Amendment comes under attack. As you point out, there are other amendments that could be considered relevant. The issue, however, is that none of our freedoms should be weakened, nor do they need to be. Law enforcement just needs to focus more on important crimes and stop making scandalous crimes a priority. Crimes involving loss of property, physical injury, and death should be prioritized and less time should be spent on he-said-she-said drama and other victimless crimes. Our resources are being wasted and the inefficiency is what's allowing all these shootings to occur.
