Hopefully this meets the approval of Rusky Ed! Not only is it a fun song and video, but it has English subtitles and the lyrics in Russian in the video description. Simultaneously entertaining and educational. It's the best of both worlds!

Awesome song! BTW, there's an interesting key change between the verses and the chorus. You don't see that kind of thing very often in pop music. This cover version of the song came out in 2001, but the original song was published way back in 1943 and can be seen here: https://youtu.be/hDSxfoHWCS8 Interestingly, this version of the song only has 67k views, whereas the original version is getting close to two million views.

On the topic of national anthems it's hard to argue that ours is anything other than a flop. Ours is hard to sing, it's boring, the lyrics are uninspiring, and it would be fair to say that it is basically an unpleasant song. The Russian national anthem is actually pretty good. Having made that admission, I still think we got a lot going for us as a country, it's just that our national anthem pretty much sucks! Just saying... lol

Wow! The Russian National Anthem rocks! I felt surge of patriotism energize my body as I listened to that song. It must be nice to have a national anthem that actually inspires and motivates! Ours is so boring that it makes you wonder about the musical taste of whoever agreed to name it our national anthem! GO RUSSIA!

This is easily the greatest female vocal performance of all time. Here in the USA people sometimes regard the pathetic whining of Whitney Houston as something to be admired.
