Why Your Students (And You) Need Daytime Naps: How Napping Can Dramatically Improve Learning & Memory
I get an afternoon nap in every once in a while, but not nearly as often as I would like!
The researchers concluded that naps provide a kind of reboot for the brain, where one’s short term memory store is cleared out and the brain becomes refreshed with new “defragged space.” Conversely, the more hours we spend awake, the more sluggish our minds become.

Sometimes my mind is pretty sluggish right after a nap and so I'm not sure if I am convinced by this study.

To sit or not to sit?
A study out of the UK contradicts other studies regarding health problems caused by sitting. This study shows that vigorous exercise can undo the problems caused by excessive sitting. It's important to not sit too long without a standing break, but standing too long can cause problems too. So, the lesson is that it's best to vary your activity throughout the day and not stay in any single position for too long.

The best way to make sitting at your desk all day suck less
These seem to be some pretty good ideas, but they're all pretty basic.

Health Benefits of Sleeping on Your Left Side
This is the first time I've heard anything like this. I'm not even sure if it's actually good advice. I always thought it was best to sort of sleep on both sides about evenly and spend time on the back and the belly too. Wouldn't sleeping mostly on one side be bad for you?

Study: Sitting too much may be slowly killing us
The good news is that exercising thirty minutes a day, five days a week will counteract all that sitting.
