Axl Rose The Greatest Vocalist Of All Time?
I'm not sure how vocal range qualifies one to be greatest vocalist of all time, but that seems to be argument presented here. There is so much more to singing than pitch, that it is a bit baffling that such an assertion could be taken seriously, but then again, exaggeration is a way to grab attention and it is provocative to claim that Axl Rose is the greatest vocalist of all time (he clearly isn't) and so mission accomplished if you're in the news business!
:roll2:
Interesting chart comparing vocal ranges of famous singers:

I thought it was odd that Robert Plant and Mick Jagger have the exact same vocal range and the same is true for Elvis Presley and John Lennon. Neither pair sings the same, but their range is the same. Just goes to show that there's a whole lot more to singing than vocal range!

The Dead Milkmen - Air Crash Museum
Went out to feed the cattle
And to my surprise
My lawn was full of bodies
Just a gatherin' up the flies
A big ol' jet liner
Had dropped from out of the sky
Well I was so darn happy that
I couldn't believe my eyes

We're gonna stuff 'em
Put 'em on display
'tween Patsy Cline and Buddy Holly

Loadin' up my tractor
Gonna take the bodies inside
Betty Lou will bring the sawdust
And I've got the formaldehyde
I'm callin' up my neighbours
Tell 'em all to drop by
A body stuffin' party
And we'll bake some kidney pie

We're gonna stuff 'em
Put 'em on display
'tween Patsy Cline and Buddy Holly

We'll have our own air crash museum
People lined for miles just to see 'em

Jim Croce's in the corner
The Big Bopper's by the stairs
Ricky Nelson's in the kitchen
But nobody cares

McCartney's Magic Comeback Performance
He's 72 and still doing concerts. BTW, he wrote "When I'm 64" when he was only 16.

Pink Floyd can confirm that they are releasing a new album, The Endless River, in October 2014. It is an album of mainly ambient and instrumental music based on the 1993/4 Division Bell sessions which feature David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. The album is produced by David Gilmour with Phil Manzanera, Youth and recording engineer Andy Jackson. Work is still in progress, but more details to come at the end of the summer.

Why Can't Dave Play Eagles Music? - David Letterman
MrGreen was complaining about Bob Dylan being stingy. It looks like the Eagles are kind of stingy too! They should have just played "Hotel California" since everyone knows that the Eagles ripped off a Jethro Tull song on that one.

Robert Plant turns down $800 million for Zeppelin reunion :smokin:
I don't see the point. Would people really pay to see a bunch of guys in their sixties trying to put on a show? It works for Willie Nelson, but it probably wouldn't work for these guys. I'm sorry, but I just don't see why anyone would pay more than a few bucks to see a bunch of old guys playing old songs.

Kanye West's New Song Bringing up the Question Who Is Paul McCartney? :roll2:
In terms of the history of pop music Kanye is barely a blip on the radar screen. I'm no Beatles fan, but it's hard to not know who Paul McCartney is unless you happen to be a braindead Kanye West fan apparently!

The highlight of Kanye West's career was being mocked on South Park. Everything else is all hype and empty posturing. If he's remembered in ten years it will only be because he's a GAY FISH!
