WHO is a trusted source. I was just throwing out suicide, an unlikely guess, cause I know there was some false info coming from Steve supported by a BS source as the pattern continues.

Dumb Ways to Die
There are a lot of ways to die. Most of the ones in this song don't happen very often...

The first article that comes up in my browser is
http://chriskresser.com/medical-care-is ... in-the-us/
The combined effect of errors and adverse effects that occur because of iatrogenic damage includes:

12,000 deaths/year from unnecessary surgery
7,000 deaths/year from medication errors in hospitals
20,000 deaths/year from other errors in hospitals
80,000 deaths/year from nosocomial infections in hospitals
106,000 deaths a year from nonerror, adverse effects of medications

This amounts to a total of 225,000 deaths per year from iatrogenic causes.

iatrogenic definition: of or relating to illness caused by medical examination or treatment.
The article cites these statistics as coming from the JAMA

Even if I discount it as the first one; the medical profession still comes up as the 3rd leading cause of death in 7 of the first 10 results.

Sounds like a scam to me!

Deaths in Death Valley
Here's one of my favorite threads from the old forum:

Most people die as a result of the heat, but there were some who died in a snowstorm on Telescope Peak. Death Valley is extreme territory!
