Online advertisers know little about you
Actually they have a lot of information about you, it's just that the conclusions they reach based on that data are wrong!

Facebook To Build A $1 Billion Data Center In Iowa
Facebook already has data centers in Oregon and North Carolina. Iowa and Nebraska competed fiercely for this data center. Apparently Facebook needed something in the middle of the country. Just a guess, but I predict that Trona will not be getting a data center anytime soon!
:pac:
The Register reports that the Facebook facility will be located in what is being called a “data center corridor,” due to its access to an extensive interstate fiber-optic cable system that is already installed within the city and running along Interstate Highway 80. It is in proximity to adequate power and water utilities. Land is affordable and has low natural-disaster risks. It is accessible to interstate highways.

Are Teens Truly Tired of Facebook? :roll2:
A utility and an obligation rather than an exciting social platform? Yep! That's about right!

Courts Hilariously Use Urban Dictionary in Cases
This trend involves the use of social media in court cases. Apparently sites like Urban Dictionary (as well as others) are used to define slang terms when an ambiguous word with some sort of alternative meaning is used in a court case. At the end of this clip the term "grenade" is defined and Cenk "libs out" on the way it gets used on Jersey Shore.

Facebook Gives In: How #Hashtags Took Over Social Media
It sounds like hashtags are more fashionable than useful, but anything to attract the younger demographic!

Is Facebook 'Dead and Buried?'
Looks like Facebook is going the way of MySpace. Or is it? Maybe not, except that teenagers are abandoning it like crazy. It looks like adults are still using Facebook since it makes it easy to stay in contact with friends and family. It's hard to say if Google Plus will win over some Facebook users.

Will Facebook go the way of the dodo?
Like MySpace before it, Facebook is doomed, or is it? Most people I know are using Facebook less and less and younger people are leaving it in droves. It's hard to get kids to even admit that they have a Facebook account.

Facebook Expands To More Than 50 Gender Profile Options
What ever floats your boat, but this seems more like pandering than anything progressive or praiseworthy if you ask me. Then again I suppose it does show that Facebook is responsive to social trends, even the most trivial in nature. Anything for a little extra media attention. After all they are supposedly rapidly losing market share.
