Here are the new laws for California in 2019
Politicians seem to think "the more the merrier" when it comes to laws!

New laws in California about pets
More unnecessary laws that don't really solve any problems.

My thoughts on California's (AB)1824 Law and what we can do about it...
This law seems like an extremely good idea to me. I'd lower the decibel level to about 64. There's no need for loud cars.

ergot: A law that pays for itself and improves the quality of life for everybody. What a concept! Sacramento actually does something right for a change. It's a miracle!

I agree with ergot: LOWER THE dB level to sixty, but on top of that apply it to other noise makers as well: dogs, motorcycles, quads, music, etc. The problem of noise pollution could be solved pretty quickly with laws that pay for themselves. Brilliant idea!

ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS. I like that. Stick to them hard the first time, but I'd double the fine for a second offense and double it again for a third offense. The idea of applying the law to other noise makers seems like a no brainer. Noise pollution is a social issue that we can actually solve and the solution can pay for itself!

What was wrong with the fix it ticket approach? Were they not fixing the vehicles? As an outside observer it seems as though just like our immigration system, rather than make tougher laws we just need to start enforcing the existing ones.

Next thing you know there will be sanctuary cities for cars with loud mufflers!

I'm more offended by people playing loud stereo systems than loud exhaust systems.

I went to look at a truck for sale not too long ago and it had a loud exhaust system. It was awful! The seller was shouting at me over the muffler "Doesn't it sound great?" I just acted as if I didn't hear him! I think that Southpark video hits the nail on the head!
Make Trona great again!
