Pleased to meet you fryingpig. You wouldn't happen to be related to flyingpig, would you? I notice that he spends a bit of time around these parts too!

Love the lively avatars people use on this forum. Glad to have been able to get an account after a half dozen attempts!

Hope no one's offended by my avatar. I could change it if someone objects. Then again as long as everyone agrees with my sense of humor then it must be a case of no harm no foul or something like that.

I wouldn't worry about offending anyone. This board would be a boring place if people worried about that sort of thing. That's why most of us don't use our real names. You can say what you want and no one can call you on it. Just don't go too far and commit slander or anything like that and you're good to go!

whiskeypete: We don't take kindly to people who are easily offended around this place! And, like ShadyLady says, anonymity is a good way to guarantee that people say what's on their minds since they don't have to fear reprisals by the opinion nazis out there who don't believe in freedom of expression!

BoraxBill: Sorry for the late reply, but I'm kind of irregular when it comes to my online activity. Regarding anonymity I am in complete agreement. Sometimes you want to speak your mind, but don't want to take the risk of offending someone who might be a friend or family member. Most people hold back when they talk face to face and edit what they say so as to keep from offending anyone. But when you post anonymously you can say what you really believe and that's the kind of expression that really counts!
